Purpose: A step-by-step guide for entering individual and bulk competency grades in the LMS for ELP programs.

Before You Begin: User must be logged into the LMS and have access to the ELP program gradebook for their campus.

Process

Individual Grading

1. Log into the LMS and click the ELP program for your campus.
2. Click the Field Courses dropdown and select the competency course for the competency you wish to record. This will take you to the gradebook for that course.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and increase the items per page so all the students in a group are listed.
   1. You should only need to do this the first time you open the course, but as a best practice quickly check each time. 
4. Click the Groups dropdown, select the pit group(s) you need to enter grades for, and click Apply.
5. Click the Switch to Spreadsheet View button.
6. Find the competency and mark the grades for the students who passed or failed.
7. Click Save to save all updated grades.
   1. Students are sent a notification/email that their grade(s) have been updated. 

Bulk Grading

1. To bulk grade several students for a single comp, locate the competency in the course gradebook.
2. Click the down arrow next to the competency and select Enter Grades.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and increase the items per page so all the students in a group are listed.
   1. You should only need to do this the first time you open the course, but as a best practice quickly check each time. 
4. Click the Groups dropdown, select the correct pit group(s), and click Apply.
5. Click the box to select all students in the group. 
   Note: To deselect a student, click the box next to their name.
6. Click Set Grades.
7. In the pop-up, click the dropdown and select Pass or Fail, then click Save.
8. Click Save and Close to save all updated grades.
   1. Students are sent a notification/email that their grade(s) have been updated. 

Expected Result

All competency grades have been successfully recorded in the LMS gradebook. Individual or bulk grades are saved and visible for the selected pit group and competency.
